Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

 Brief Therapy is about being brief and focusing on solutions, rather than on problems. Finding out what might help us to get to solutions that would bring on realistic, reasonable relief as quickly as possible. Working with current resources and future hopes.

When approaching any problem, we find periods or times when the trouble does not occur or is less intense. Brief Therapy, will study these times when problems are less severe or even absent, to help us discover that, we already do many positive things that we are not fully aware of. By bringing these small successes into our awareness and repeating the successful things we do when the problem is less severe, we improve our lives and become more confident about ourselves.

Experiencing small successes help us become more hopeful about our life and ourselves. When we are more hopeful, we become more interested in creating a better life for ourselves, and a better future. We just want more and we are ready to achieve it. Repeating successful behaviours is easier than learning a whole new set of solutions, since it takes less effort, we can see the changes rapidly.

What to expect:

A brief therapy session is set in a pleasant, safe environment. I will use a diversity of practical tools to support you gaining and developing your understanding of the behaviours you are already doing to manage the challenging situation, whether it is consciously or unconsciously. You will be guided to discovering how to move forward in that positive behaviour and create a lasting change.

The duration of the session fluctuates from 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The length of the process will adapt to your needs, depending on the matter and your commitment. Brief therapy is normally a brief process of approximately 6 weeks. 

All Therapy sessions can also be set up as a Skype session.
